MSgt. Roy Campos Receives Bronze Star April 5, 2022
March 31, 2022 - Master Sgt. Roy Campos, 30th Civil Engineer Squadron readiness division chief, receives the Bronze Star Medal from Lt. Col. Charles Hansen, 30th Civil Engineer Squadron commander, at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California for his heroics in Afghanistan. MSgt. Campos received the medal for his exemplary leadership and devotion to duty while under constant threat of enemy attacks in Afghanistan. Campos directed immediate action that moved his team into defensive fighting positions to maintain perimeter security for over eight hours, and directed 22 emergency responses with one of them being outside the controlled perimeter while exposed to enemy forces.
