August 29, 2021 - Heartfelt, moving dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware of 11 of the 13 fallen U.S. troops, who were among the fatalities from a terrorist bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan on August 26, 2021.

President Biden, the First Lady, senior military officers, and other dignitaries witnessed the fallen troops' dignified transfers from the aircraft to an awaiting vehicle ... as the saddened, proud Gold Star family members see too.

The following descriptions of the 12 images in the collage are left to right from top to bottom.

  1. Their flag-draped transfer cases lining the inside of a C-17 Globemaster II prior to their respective dignified transfer from the aircraft to their awaiting heartbroken loved ones ... as President Biden, the First Lady, and other dignitaries solemnly witness.

  2. A U.S. Navy carry team transfers the remains of Navy Hospitalman Maxton W. Soviak (22) of Berlin Heights, Ohio. Soviak was assigned to 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, California.

  3. A U.S. Army carry team transfers the remains of Army Staff Sgt. Ryan C. Knauss (23) of Corryton, Tennessee. Knauss was assigned to the 9th Psychological Operations Battalion, 8th Psychological Operations Group, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.

  4. U.S. Marine Corps carry team transfers the remains of Marine Corps Lance Cpl. David L. Espinoza (20) of Rio Bravo, Texas. Espinoza was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

  5. A U.S. Marine Corps carry team transfers the remains of Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jared M. Schmitz (20) of St. Charles, Missouri. Schmitz was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

  6. A U.S. Marine Corps carry team transfers the remains of Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Dylan R. Merola (20) of Rancho Cucamonga, California. Merola was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

  7. A U.S. Marine Corps carry team transfers the remains of Marine Corps Sgt. Johanny Rosario Pichardo (25) of Lawrence, Massachusetts. Pichardo was assigned to 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Naval Support Activity Bahrain.

  8. A U.S. Marine Corps carry team transfers the remains of Marine Corps Cpl. Daegan W. Page (23) of Omaha, Nebraska. Page was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

  9. A U.S. Marine Corps carry team transfers the remains of Marine Corps Cpl. Humberto A. Sanchez (22) of Logansport, Indiana. Sanchez was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

  10. A U.S. Marine Corps carry team transfers the remains of Marine Corps Sgt. Nicole L. Gee (23) of Sacramento, California Gee was assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 24, 24th Marine Expeditionary Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

  11. A U.S. Marine Corps carry team transfers the remains of Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Darin T. Hoover (31) of Salt Lake, Utah. Hoover was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

  12. A U.S. Marine Corps carry team transfers the remains of Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Kareem M. Nikoui (20) of Norco, California. Nikoui was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

The other two fallen troops ... U.S. Marine Cpl. Hunter Lopez (22) of Indio, California and U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Rylee J. McCollum of Jackson (22), Wyoming were not among this dignified transfer.

The bombing also severely wounded 18 other U.S. troops with many of them surviving near death conditions.
