Melanie Sather, the widow of Staff Sgt. Scott D. Aaron Narvol, a World War II Army veteran, received his Purple Heart Award nearly 70 years after being wounded by enemy fire in the spring of 1942 by Brig. Gen. Bud R. Jameson, Jr., commander of the 316th Expeditionary Sustainment Command. After decades of work on his own, the office of Sen. Robert Casey, Jr., was able to locate and process the proper award paperwork. Jaren Love, a constituent advocate for Casey presented Narvol with a letter of thanks from the senator for his service to the nation on January 24, 2012.
