Fallen Medal of Honor Recipient - April 4, 2005

Sgt. Paul Ray Smith was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor on April 4, 2005 for his heroic efforts during Operation Iraqi Freedom on April 3, 2003.

Here is one of nine photos in tribute of this great hero.

Brigit Smith, wife of Army Sgt. 1st Class Paul Smith, addresses the audience during the Pentagon Hall of Heroes induction ceremony honoring her husband on April 5, 2005.

The ceremony added Smith's name to the roll of Medal of Honor recipients in the Hall of Heroes.
