April 27, 2017 - U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Cameron Heard, left, and U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Michael Birch, right, honor their fallen brother, U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. W. D. Wilson, during the Challenge Reconnaissance on Camp Pendleton, California. The event provided an opportunity for Marines of any military occupational specialty to honor the fallen recon Marines. May 7, 2017 - From left... Command Sgt. Maj. Jill L. Crosby, Warrant Officer 2 Samuel Gabara and Col. Christopher H. Colavita salute the U.S. Army 1st Cavalry Division Resolute Support Sustainment Brigade Memorial, which was dedicated on May 7, 2017 at Bagram Airfield (BAF) in Afghanistan. Staff Sgt. John W. Perry, Pfc. Tyler R. Iubelt, Col. (Ret.) Jarrold M. Reeves and Dr. Peter L. Provost were killed by a suicide bomber at BAF on November 12, 2016. Sgt. 1st Class Allan E. Corey Cott and his fellow talented actors portrayed their "young and combat tested" Greatest Generation characters wonderfully ... grabbing the hearts of the audience with pride and appreciation. May 18 2017 - U.S. Navy Chief petty officers salute the ensign before going ashore as the Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Alexandria (SSN 757) returns to Naval Base Point Loma following a six-month deployment to the western Pacific region. Commissioned June 29, 1991, the boat is more than 360 feet long and displaces more than 6,900 tons. May 22, 2017 - The Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Dallas (SSN 700) transits the Puget Sound on its way to Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton to commence its inactivation process. Dallas departed their homeport of Groton, Connecticut, for the last time, March 24, 2017 to make their way to Bremerton, Washington.
