May 4, 2017 - U.S. Soldiers assigned to Assassin Troop, 1st Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment establish a Helicopter Landing Zone at the conclusion of their simulated assault on an objective held by elements of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, at Fort Irwin, California. The purpose of this phase of National Training Center Rotation 17-06 challenged the 2nd Brigade’s competence in defending an objective against a hybrid-force consisting of conventional and non-conventional forces.
