Over 950 military paratroopers from seven countries participate in a
commemorative airborne operation near Saint-Mere-Eglise, France in
honor of the 75th anniversary of Operation Overlord, the World War
II Allied invasion of Normandy, commonly known as D-Day that
occurred on June 6, 1944.
