The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle
(JLTV) replaces many of the aging Humvee fleet. It is a
faster and more ruggedized vehicle, built to better protect
Marines (and soldiers) ... as priorities shift to a more
competitive, near-peer battlefield.
The JLTV far exceeds the Humvee in
all areas including protection, extreme off-road mobility,
modularity and network capabilities. It also is smaller and
faster than the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP)
vehicles with similar capabilities.
