U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Travis Atkins, a 10th Mountain
Division squad leader, is credited with saving the lives of
three of his soldiers by throwing himself atop a suicide
bomber on a hot and muggy morning, June 1, 2007 in the
vicinity of Yusufiyah, Iraq.

the Medal of Honor for by President Donald Trump on March
27, 2019 in a White House ceremony ... presenting the medal
