Honor Fallen Hero
Staff Sgt. John Beale
This very
moving video is a short travelogue of the
remarkable and painful journey of the body
of fallen hero Staff Sergeant First Class
John C. Beale being returned to Falcon Field
in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of
Atlanta, on June 11, 2009. (Sergeant Beale
was killed in action the week before.)
And what a wonderful show
of respect and honor this fallen hero
received by his fellow Americans throughout
the long route . . . A simple notice in
local papers indicated the road route to be
taken and the approximate time. (The
Henry County Police Department escorted the
procession to the funeral home in McDonough, Georgia.)
