Air Medal Recipients Christopher Ezzell, Matthew Carlson, and Richard Reid
On December 1, 2006, Chief Warrant Officer (CW3) Christopher Ezzell,
Cpt. Matthew Carlson, Chief Warrant Officer (CW2) Richard Reid responded
to a firefight just south of Sadr City. The Apache crew engaged the
enemy and helped comrades escape. Their actions that day led them to be
awarded the Air Medal with V Device.
