going above and beyond
the call of duty
to their aid
no matter the cost to self,
like Salvatore Giunta did
in the Afghanistan moonlight
along a narrow mountain trail...

to leave
brothers-in-arms behind...
rightfully deserving to be among
America's greatest heroes,
proudly wearing
