Green Berets Conduct War Horse Clearing Ops

October 5, 2026 - U.S. Green Berets assigned to 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) maneuver down an urban area while conducting clearing operations during close-quarters battle training for exercise War Horse at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Close-quarters battle training enables Green Berets to execute tactical mission tasks across urban environments to build readiness for combat operations.

War Horse is a baseline lethality exercise, designed to enhance readiness and develop combat skills through realistic scenarios, reinforcing the decision-making, adaptability and lethality required to operate in complex operational environments. The exercise integrates and evaluates 22 individual and collective baseline tasks to ensure Green Berets are prepared to operate independently in austere, hostile and politically sensitive environments.
