USS Pinckney (DDG 91) Returns NBSD Homeport August 13, 2026
August 9, 2026 - Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Pinckney (DDG 91) returns to its homeport of Naval Base San Diego (NBSD) following 9 months of operations supporting regional security and combat operations in the Indo-Pacific and Middle East ... with loved ones happily waiting on the pier. Pinckney steamed more than 48,000 nautical miles across U.S. 3rd, U.S. 7th, and U.S. 5th Fleets; completed 534 flight hours; executed 24 replenishments-at-sea; and transited through five strategic waterways. An integral part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. 3rd Fleet leads naval forces in the Indo-Pacific and provides the realistic, relevant training necessary to execute the U.S. Navy's role across the full spectrum of military operations. U.S. 3rd Fleet works together with allies and partners to advance freedom of navigation and overflight, the rule of law and other principles that underpin security for the Indo-Pacific region.
