USCG Interdicts 10 Aliens Near Point Loma June 28, 2025
June 23, 2025 - U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Benjamin Bottoms (WPC-1132) crew in a small boat along with Coast Guard Maritime Safety and Security Team (MSST) from Los Angeles–Long Beach interdict 10 aliens aboard a 25-foot white Sea Ray vessel near Point Loma ... a peninsula and neighborhood in San Diego, California. The vessel and arrested aliens (all claiming Mexican nationality) were brought to Ballast Point, where they were transferred to the custody of U.S. Border Patrol Imperial Beach Boat Station Unit members. The U.S. Coast Guard maintains a robust presence along the maritime border and works closely with federal partners to detect, deter, and disrupt illegal maritime migration ventures.
