USMC Battle Color Detachment Performs At Camp Pendleton March 12, 2025 March 10, 2025 - Pride inspiring scenes of the U.S. Marine Corps' Battle Color Detachment from Marine Barracks Washington performing during a Battle Color Ceremony at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California for the first time since 2020. The 2025 Battle Color Detachment Tour is being conducted in honor of the 250th U.S. Marine Corps birthday and enables the Marines to prefect the drill sequences prior to the 2025 Marine Barracks Washington Parade Season ... that includes Friday Evening Parades at the barracks and the Tuesday Sunset Parades at the Marine Corps War Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial. These events are an opportunity for the community to witness the extraordinary talent and commitment of Marines who serve as a living testament to the Corps’ legacy of excellence. Each year, this elite detachment of approximately 130 Marines travels worldwide to demonstrate the Corps' values of honor, courage, and commitment, while honoring the proud traditions of the Marine Corps.
