B1-Bs From Ellsworth AFB At Grand Forks AFB January 5, 2025
December 18, 2024 - A B1-B Lancer (top) assigned to the 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota takes off for a touch-and-go operation as three other B1-B Lancers (bottom) from Ellsworth AFB stand ready on the flightline at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota. These four B1-Bs are among the 17 B-1Bs being temporary relocated due to facilitates key basing actions for Ellsworth for approximately 10 months by the end of January 2025 without sacrificing readiness of the B-1B fleet.
