Anchorage PD SWAT Train On JBER October 29, 2024
October 22, 2024 - Members of the Anchorage Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team conduct close-quarters battle training scenarios at Ursa Major Elementary School at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Local SWAT used Ursa Major, a former K-6 school on JBER that was closed after earthquake safety concerns were raised due to the age and condition of the building, and the location was used to train several different indoor tactical scenarios to ensure readiness.
