Super Hornet Freedom Edge Flight Ops July 3, 2024
June 28, 2024 - U.S. Sailors prepare a F/A-18 Super Hornet, assigned to the "Flying Checkmates" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 211, for take off during exercise Freedom Edge flight operations aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). Freedom Edge is the first iteration of a multi-domain, trilateral exercise that demonstrates the unprecedented depth, scale and scope of Japan, Republic of Korea and U.S. trilateral security cooperation.
