The Delta IV Heavy was an expendable heavy-lift launch vehicle, the largest type of the Delta IV family. It was the world's third highest-capacity launch vehicle in operation. The new Vulcan rocket with American-made hardware, including Blue Origin and Aerojet Rocketdyne engines, is replacing the Delta IV Heavy that used Russian-made RD-180 engines.
