Marines Conduct Close-Quarter Tactics January 11, 2024 January 6, 2024 - U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team 1/1, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct a close-quarter tactics range during urban sustainment training on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. Marines conduct training exercises to increase lethality and ensure effective responses in urban environments. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
