Fighting Falcon Takes Off At Shaw AFB December 12, 2023 December 6, 2023 - U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Jason “Burner” Getz, 79th Fighter Squadron “Tigers” F-16 Fighting Falcon pilot, takes off during surge week at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina. The F-16 is a multi-role, highly-maneuverable aircraft, able to fly over 500 miles to deliver weapons with superior accuracy and defend itself against adversaries.
