USCG Super Hercules Sunset Take Off November 13, 2023 November 1, 2023 - A C-130J Super Hercules shortly after a sunset take off from U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point in District 14 Hawaii Pacific to conduct night training. The men and women of the Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point serve as "Guardians of the Pacific" in their support of the Fourteenth Coast Guard District, the largest and most culturally diverse of all Coast Guard operating areas covering more than 14 million square miles of land and sea, with units on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, the Big Island, and in American Samoa, Saipan, Guam, Singapore and Japan. The Fourteenth District’s boundaries of responsibility stretch from the Hawaiian Islands and across most of the Central and Western Pacific.
