$158M Narcotics Offload July 18, 2023
July 17, 2023 - U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Steadfast (WHEC 623) crew members start offloading $158 million of interdicted illegal narcotics (11,600 pounds of cocaine and over 5,500 pounds of marijuana) from the cutter's flight deck onto the Broadway Pier in San Diego. The drugs were interdicted in the Eastern Pacific during counter-narcotic patrols by Coast Guard cutters Steadfast, Vigilant, and Mohawk.
