Tall Ship Eagle In Baltic Sea July 13, 2023
June 14, 2023 - U.S. Coast Guard Tall Ship Eagle (WIX 327) sets sails while underway in the Baltic Sea. Eagle is used as a training platform for future Coast Guard Academy officers along with establishing and maintaining domestic and international relationships. The 295-foot Tall Ship Barque Eagle is the flagship of the U.S. Coast Guard and is homeported at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. She serves as a training vessel for cadets at the Coast Guard Academy and candidates from the Officer Candidate School. The Eagle is the only active-duty sailing vessel in America's military, and one of only two commissioned sailing vessels, along with the USS Constitution.
