Catalytic Converter Theft Ring Busted In Tulsa November 25, 2022
November 2, 2022 - Scenes in Tulsa, Oklahoma of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and Tulsa law enforcement officers arresting individuals involved in a national network of thieves, dealers, and processors for their roles in conspiracies involving stolen catalytic converters sold to a metal refinery for tens of millions of dollars. The Tulsa arrests were associated with Operation Heavy Metal ... a nationwide, coordinated takedown of criminals involving federal, state, and local law enforcement partners from across the United States. Arrests, searches, and seizures also took place in California, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, Virginia, and Wyoming with 21 individuals being arrested and/or charged for their roles in the conspiracy.
