Wild Goose In St. Mary Lake May 11, 2022
An amazing view of St. Mary Lake with Wild Goose Island nestled in blue waters among the mountains from the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park on a late-September day. Glacier National Park is a paradise for adventurous visitors seeking wilderness with melting glaciers, alpine meadows, carved valleys, and spectacular lakes along with reliving the days of old through historic chalets and lodges. Its famous Going-to-the-Sun Road drive offers breathtaking scenic views along a 50-mile mountainous route that is available once snow, ice covered conditions are no longer present that can extend into late-May. Then there are Glacier's 700 plus miles of trails for hikers who want to experience one step at a time with many for bikers too.
