Pilot Trains On Virtual Simulator

April 26, 2022 - U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Jay Capper, 731st Airlift Squadron pilot, handles the controls on a virtual reality simulator (VRS) during the annual modular airborne firefighting system training at Gowen Field, Idaho. The VRS was designed to recreate conditions pilots experience real during aerial firefighting scenarios when they’re called to fight wildfires.
