USMC Helos Fly Near USS Michael Monsoor April 27, 2022
April 20, 2022 - Marine Corps UH-1Y Venom and AH-1Z Viper helicopters with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) fly near the USS Michael Monsoor (DDG 1001), a Zumwalt-class destroyer while observing the area, during a training mission off the coast of Camp Pendleton, California. The flights were held as a means of maintaining naval integration, operational capabilities and assuring 3rd MAW remains mission ready.
