A Flight To Faith: The Story Of A Vietnam P.O.W. January 18, 2022
The heart wrenching, pride inspiring play, "A Flight To Faith: The Story Of A Vietnam P.O.W." produced and performed by College of the Ozarks students during the 2021 Veterans Week in Branson, Missouri ... grippingly presented what Colonel John Clark endured for 2,176 days during his captivity with fellow POWs in the infamous 'Hanoi Hilton' as a P.O.W. during the Vietnam War. He and fellow POWs endured starvation, deadly sickness, and mental and physical torture at the hands of the enemy. Nor was Clark's family aware of his captivity ... as he was reported MIA and presumed dead ... learning the truth shortly before his return to the USA. The play was inspired by the book, Vietnam 101: A Class Like No Other by Jerry C. Davis, College of the Ozarks President ... that weaves a rich tapestry of 12 Vietnam Veterans' stories and the impact of their journey on College of the Ozarks students.
