December 17, 2021 - Scenes of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) flight operations and with other ships associated with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group as it transits the Indian Ocean during a bilateral training exercise with the Royal Australian Air Force.

• Top Left - Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stockdale (DDG 106) in formation with the USS Carl Vinson.

• Top Right - A MH-60R Sea Hawk, assigned to the “Blue Hawks” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 78 transits alongside the USS Carl Vinson.

• Bottom Left - A MH-60S Sea Hawk, assigned to the “Black Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 4, flies over the flight deck of the USS Carl Vinson.

• Bottom Right - An F/A-18E Super Hornet, assigned to the “Golden Dragons” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 192, launches from the flight deck of Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson.

Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group and elements of the Royal Australian Navy and Air Force are conducting a bilateral training exercise to test and refine warfighting capabilities in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
