USCGC Resolute Interdicts 183 Haitian Migrants September 29, 2021
September 24, 2021 - U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Resolute interdicts a Haitian sail freighter in Northern Haiti with 183 Haitians attempting to sail to the United States. The vessel was dangerously overloaded, had no navigation equipment, and had only a handful of life jackets. The migrants with little children were transferred to the Resolute and placed on its flight deck with all of them receiving food, water, shelter, and medical care.
