The flag was lowered to half-staff in honor of the 13 fallen U.S. troops ... 11 Marines, 1 Soldier, and 1 Navy corpsman ... who were killed in Kabul, Afghanistan along with 18 U.S. troops being wounded on August 26, 2021 by an ISIS "complex attack" involving a suicide bomber detonating the explosives at the Abbey Gate of the Hamid Karzai International Airport ... followed by shooters firing at U.S. Troops and Afghanistan citizens. It was also the deadliest attack the U.S. military has suffered in over a decade.
