Historic Coast Guard Motor Lifeboat Point Adams August 24, 2021
August 16, 2021 - The former active-service Coast Guard Motor Lifeboat 36391 Point Adams is underway in the Columbia River during the boat's transit from Hammond, Oregon, to the Westport Maritime Museum in Westport, Washington. The boat, which was brought into service in May 1934 and operated out of Coast Guard Station Point Adams in Hammond, Oregon, until 1955, will be preserved and displayed to serve as tribute to the Coast Guard's treasured history.
