Wright-Patterson AFB Active Shooter Op August 23, 2021 August 18, 2021 - Members of the 88th Security Forces Squadron work to clear victims from a building and capture the active shooters involved during a readiness exercise at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Readiness exercises are routinely held to streamline unit cohesion when responding to emergencies. Top Left - 88th Security Forces Squadron members are weapons ready to engage the shooter as the search a room. Top Right - An 88th Security Forces Squadron member helps a role-player up to remove her from the building after a simulated elimination of an active shooter. Bottom Left - A role-player screams in pain after a simulated gunshot wound while waiting for first responders to locate him.
