Over The Horizon Security At Sea August 4, 2021
July 24, 2021 - Crew members of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Escanaba (WMEC 907) perform security exercises at sea on a 26-foot Over-the-Horizon small boat off Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Over-the-Horizon exercises are needed for maritime patrol readiness. The Escanaba (not shown) is a 270-foot Famous-class medium endurance cutter with a crew of around 100 conducting many of the service’s missions, emphasizing law enforcement and security.
