Independence Day At MCB Quantico July 7, 2021 July 4, 2021 - Marines, their families, and other guests proudly celebrate America’s 245th Independence Day at the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) Quantico 4th of July celebration that included performances by the U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon and Quantico Marine Corps Band with Col. William C. Bentley III, commanding officer of Marine Corps Base (MCB) Quantico followed by the fireworks show at Lejeune Field. Since 1917, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia has initiated Marine Corps concepts, doctrine, training, and equipment for our Corps. The Marine Corps and other branches of service look to Quantico to lead the way with technological advances as well as creative and innovative thinking for present and future battles.
