Marines MRF Ship Search June 29, 2021 June 14, 2021 - U.S. Marines attached to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) search the amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18) during a Maritime Raid Force (MRF) training evolution with USS Germantown (LSD 42). New Orleans, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, along with the 31st MEU, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
