WWII Vet Paul Bowen's 100 Birthday June 27, 2021
June 15, 2021 - Coast Guardsmen from several units in Oregon honor Paul Bowen, a World War II veteran, with his wife proudly looking at him during Paul’s 100th birthday celebration in Salem, Oregon. Bowen served in the Coast Guard from September 1940 to November 1942 in the South Pacific Theater as a motor machinist, known today as a machinery technician, and achieve the rank of petty officer second class.
