Young Baseball Player Honors Fallen WWII Relative June 2, 2021 On Memorial Day (May 31, 2021) ... USA Patriotism! founder/owner David Bancroft's young great nephew proudly wears a special baseball jersey with the name of his great, great uncle Bernard Borer (19) and the date (July 13, 1944) he was KIA during WWII in Normandy, France. U.S. Army PVT Borer was the twin brother of David Bancroft's mother, who woke up from a deep sleep knowing/feeling immediately when her brother had become a fallen hero with his squad members ... who paid the ultimate sacrifice when they were ambushed by a hidden German machine gun nest in the thick hedge rows.
