Nature's Sunrise Beauty At TRNP July 24, 2020 Nature's sunrise beauty is wonderfully displayed over the terrain at North Dakota's Theodore Roosevelt National Park on June 4, 2014. Theodore Roosevelt National Park preserves three areas of rugged, beautiful badlands in southwestern North Dakota. It was established in honor of the landscape's influence on Theodore Roosevelt who, as a young man, hunted and ranched in North Dakota's Little Missouri Badlands. Theodore Roosevelt could not have imagined how his adventure in this remote and unfamiliar place would forever alter the course of the nation. The rugged landscape and strenuous life that he experienced here would help shape a conservation policy that we still benefit from today.
