First Woman Master Chief As A Coast Guard Gunner’s Mate July 23, 2020
July 21, 2020 - U.S. Coast Guard Master Chief Petty Officer Laurie A. Kennedy shortly after being pinned by her family members during a ceremony at the Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore. Kennedy is the first female to earn the title of master chief in the U.S. Coast Guard gunner’s mate rating and is slated to be the rating force master chief.
