|  | 12/02/05 ... Recently selected 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class Petty Officers stand at attention during their frocking ceremony held in the hangar bay of USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) Dec. 2, 2005. Two hundred fifty-three Sailors were promoted to the next pay grade during the hour-long ceremony. Currently under way in the 7th fleet area of responsibility, Kitty Hawk demonstrates power-projection and sea-control as the U.S. Navy's only permanently forward deployed aircraft carrier, operating out of Yokosuka, Japan.
