| 11/14/05 U.S. Navy submarine veterans are honored in a Veterans Day ceremony held on board Naval Station Pearl Harbor at the Parche Memorial. Among those honored included the 86 lost aboard the recently discovered missing World War II submarine USS Lagarto (SS 371). Louis Magana echoes taps on his bugle during a ceremony dedicating a new flagstaff and display of bronze plaques commemorating 73 Marines who gave their lives and 15 survivors of the attack on the battleship USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941.
