During October 2008 ... U.S. Army Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 4th
Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, along with
Iraqi national police from the 8th Brigade 2nd Battalion,
conduct Operation Boar Cowboys, an air assault and cordon
and search mission. Combined forces attacked at three
separate locations within Shawra Wa Um Jibir, in eastern
Baghdad, Iraq. At this location, they confiscated banned
weapons from the populous, and discovered a former enemy
militia hideout and meeting place, but had been abandoned
some days prior according to residents.
