During August 2004 ... a joint patrol
involving U.S. Army Soldiers, other Multinational Forces,
and Iraqi National Guard conducts Operation Sykes Hammer to
uncover suspected anti-Iraqi forces that might have crossed
the border from Syria and hide within the city of Tal Afar.
Scenes include Multinational Forces and
Iraqi National Guard searching the challenging terrain of a
sewer area with metal detectors and shovels; looking for
weapons caches; finding weapons, breaking through doors;
searching houses in a dangerous part of town; detaining
individuals who have tested positive for handling explosives
and possessing some heavy firepower; and, Iraqi children
enjoying the company of one U.S. soldier.
