U.S. Sailors aboard the Arleigh
Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Chafee (DDG 90)
deployed in the Western Pacific reflect on the ship and its
commissioning. Chafee was commissioned October 18, 2003, in
honor of John Hubbard Chafee; a Marine, governor, senator
and Secretary of the Navy. sChafee is part of the U.S. 3rd
Fleet and U.S. Naval Surface Forces.
