The Farrier Firefighting School is a
learning
located at Naval Station Norfolk is designed to give
every sailor hands-on training for firefighting equipment
and exposure to real fire situations. Dedicated to and named
after Chief Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) Gerald W.
Farrier, who was one of the first Sailors to die on board
USS Forrestal.
