Captain Robert C. Treviño joined the U.S. Navy after obtaining a BS in aerospace engineering. After six years of Active Duty as a U.S. Navy Pilot, Treviño decided to join the Navy Reserve and pursue a career at NASA where he currently works as an aerospace technologist focusing on extravehicular mobility units.
Treviño
remains active with the U.S. Navy by supporting the Office
of Naval Research's Naval Science Awards Program, where he
serves as a judge in regional, state and international
science fairs, encouraging students to pursue careers in
Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). In tribute
to his Mexican heritage and love for science, he is also a
member of the Society of Mexican American Engineers and
Scientists (MAES).
