This 1967 film shows the nuclear attack submarine USS Shark
(SSN-591) conducting anti-submarine warfare maneuvers. (The Shark
was one of the Skipjack class boats launched in 1960.)
Scenes
include the crew conducting sonar searches, and living and working
at sea; the USS Holland (SS-1), the Navy's first submarine,; early
subs including the S44; the USS Gyatt (DD-712) and USS Fremont
(PA-44); and, German footage of World War I U-boats.
